Now it's a big question to us that “is it still worth learning PHP in 2023?” I would recommend you to learn PHP in 2023 wholeheartedly.


It is a weird question but learning PHP is effective, and I am also still learning it. I can understand that generally, this kind of question mostly comes from the freshers trying to get into IT for the first time. So, there is a valid reason to ask.


Not only one of the easy and simple programming languages to learn but also an effective way to get your first job in the IT field. I have noticed that so many people are now trying to suggest no to learn PHP in 2023 as it is now old and out of date.


But is it true?

Most of the people who are saying negative about PHP's learning are pointing out the early versions of PHP and its features. PHP was not upgraded at that time. But now, things are better and upgraded over time.


For me, PHP5 (especially 5.4) is the best version of PHP, and since then, each new version has given us more interesting features, new ways of expressing algorithms, improved performance, etc. The new version of PHP can easily comparable with any other modern programming language available in the market. 


It is really easy to learn a programming language and one of the best options for the freshers to start their career as a developer in the IT field.

 


Why is PHP learning relevant these days?

PHP is the most popular server-side language on the internet these days, and PHP frameworks such as Drupal, Magento, Joomla are also popular and effective. With the recent closing of many businesses worldwide, People believe that most of the businesses are shifting towards web development.
